Mark Phillips

Mark Phillips joined ABC15 in December 2018 as the station's political editor.

From December 2018 to November 2020, Phillips reported, wrote, and produced political content on all media platforms for anchors Steve Irvin, Katie Raml, and Fay Fredricks. The stories focused on the governor, legislature, local government issues, and education.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, many of Mark's stories were focused on government response and challenges faced by businesses, schools, and parents.

In November 2020, Phillips transitioned into an on-air role to deliver his reporting. His focus continues to be the impact government has on people.

Phillips also plays a pivotal role in ABC15's election coverage and is assigned to cover Kari Lake's run for governor.

Phillips also keeps an eye out for community stories about people who are trying to make a difference, or profiling folks who are just doing what they can to survive.

Mark has one son, Nathaniel, who is 27, married, and lives in Phoenix with his wife Lauren.
