...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MST /5 AM PST/ FRIDAY
THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Southwest and south-central Arizona
* WHEN...From 6 AM MST /5 AM PST/ Friday through late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread rainfall with a couple isolated thunderstorms will
occur Friday. Moderate rainfall can be expected at times with
total rainfall amounts averaging between 0.75" to 1.50"
across the Watch area. Locally higher amounts of 1.50-2.00"
are possible across higher terrain of Maricopa and Gila
Counties.
